Guam Corps Community Center

by Jim Knaggs

20120429-213602.jpgThis good looking building is the Guam Corps Community Center where we worshipped the Lord with 120+ people on Sunday morning. That means most every seat was taken. The music was good and the many who prayed at the altar brought delight to the heart of God. Corps Officers Captains Christi and Thomas Taylor lead this wonderful ministry of wonderful people. Hallelujah!

If you look to the left in the photo, you can catch a glimpse of Major Edward Hill, Divisional Commander going about his Sunday morning business. He and Major Shelley Hill were a part of the ministry team. Glory to God.

“Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.” Ephesians 4:15 NIV

Guam Lighthouse Recovery Center

by Jim Knaggs

20120428-211349.jpg This is the Lighthouse Recovery Center in Guam. It cares for 30 or so men in a residential drug and alcohol addiction program. Partially funded by the government, the program has extraordinary results with their beneficiaries to the glory of God. The men seemed happy in their course and the facility is well maintained by its competent staff team.

Yesterday, we also visited the Government building where the Lt. Governor proclaimed The Salvation Army day in Guam. His comments and appreciation for The work of The Salvation Army in Guam are deeply appreciated.

Today, we participated in the Annual Volunteer Recognition Dinner. There was a good crowd and the spirit in the room was quite positive and affirming. With many board members present and government representatives, the volunteers were all recognized for their important support of the Army’s work. Thank you again, Captains Christy and Tom Taylor.

“In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!” Philippians 2:5-8 NIV

The Salvation Army mission in Guam

by Jim Knaggs

20120428-024641.jpgYou’re seeing the Family Service Center and the Administration Offices Building in Guam. Located on the other side of the dateline, Guam is where the day begins for the United States of America. I believe it’s the same time zone as Melbourne, Australia (a great place in itself).

Commanded by Captains Christina and Thomas Taylor, the services and ministries here are dynamic, pertinent, and holy. Hallelujah!

“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”” Luke 19:10 NIV

More Than You Think

by Jim Knaggs

And yet another promotional video for SAVN.TV. This one is called More Than You Think. They’re all good and show the way for people to know Christ and the power of His resurrection. Hallelujah!

“Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.” Hebrews 7:25 NIV

Breaking Bread

by Jim Knaggs

Breaking Bread is a good idea and a fine show as demonstrated by this promotional video for SAVN.TV. The team is cooking with gas on this one. Yes.

Have you thought about being a social media chaplain? We need all the help we can get to cover the time zones and the subject matter. Training will be required and will be available as you sign up for this ministry. It seems to me that time is moving quickly on this and that we need to team up on this soon. Thanks for your help.

“For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.” 1 Peter 1:18-19 NIV

God Shots

by Jim Knaggs

This is the second installment of the SAVN.TV promotional videos that begin to showcase their wares for reaching the world for Jesus. The content may or may not be evangelistic, but it will all lead people to a social media chaplain that can help them towards saving faith.

The excitement is building as we draw closer to the possibilities. Hallelujah!

“It is written: “‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.’”” Romans 14:11 NIV
