The USA Western Territory of The Salvation Army covers eight time zones. It creates some complexity in keeping in contact with our people without getting them out of bed early in the morning hours.

A blessing of the reality is the greater propensity to be in ministry around the clock. That includes praying around the clock as well.

God is at work around the clock. Why not The Salvation Army?

“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.” Deuteronomy 6:4-5 NIV

At capacity, the performing arts center and chapel of The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Hawaii was awash in the Spirit of God today. It seats 500. Then there were 50 or so on stage and many others standing. When the children left the hall for another worship designed for them, their seats were immediately occupied by others in the wings. Hallelujah!

Just give us a reason to have a larger hall.

God beautifully filled our hearts with His joy through music, hula, prayer, and His Word. May Jesus be glorified!

“Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.” Joshua 3:5

The dedication was a smashing success. Hallelujah!

The place is amazing.

The staff are terrific.

God is in this place.

You need to experience it for yourself.

“God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”” John 4:24 NIV

Now I know the title sounds a bit like another expression. There are no other similarities.

The Cabinet in the territory is made up of SA leaders who form the closest advisors to the Territorial Commander. We’ve met today in private meetings to consider God’s hope for the territory and to synchronize our efforts to the glory of God. Hallelujah!

These are special people, each of whom represents the Lord with veracity and faithfulness. I’m grateful to God for them.

More Candidates were accepted today to enter the USA Western Territory College For Officer Training. This is really good news. We need more and more to win the world for Jesus.

How many people do you think God is calling for officership today? Twice the number applying? Three times? I think it’s more like 10 times.

Do we have enough means to train them all? We’ll find it.

Do we have enough appointments for all of them? We sure do.

Can we advance without them? Advance is the work of God. He can do anything. Hallelujah! That’s why He is calling so many to step up and serve Him with everything.

Talk to your corps officer today. Can your corps do without you? They can if it’s God’s plan.

“The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.” 1 Thess 5:24

If there is a primary need in The Salvation Army today, it is for soldiers to be engaged. I’m not criticizing soldiers here. Surely they’re as active as they are allowed. Our movement needs to get better at involving these thousands of committed Salvationists on the frontline.

A soldier stopped by today And presented an authentic challenges to me that I will give credence. His visit was a blessing and an affirmation of the readiness of our soldiers to strategically support our mission.
