Being in the USA Commissioners’ Conference is like camping out in a construction zone. As Architects of the Kingdom of God, the USA Commissioners work hard to oversee the ministry of The Salvation Army in America. There are many matters to consider with different approaches and ideas surfacing with almost every agenda item.

Chaired by Commissioner Bill Roberts, it’s moving forward with intentionality, inspiration and industry. It’s been worth the time. Hallelujah!

With each year comes a time of new appointments for officers. We have a record number of new officer to be commissioned who need appointments. We have a regular flow of officers retiring and a certain number of officers stepping out of the work. It all adds up to changes.

We’ve been in meetings today to consider the possibilities under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah!

Please join us in prayer for the right appointments for the right people. There are many factors that come together to make a decision of this sort. Pray we have good and sufficient information. Together we’ll trust God.

Now I know the title sounds a bit like another expression. There are no other similarities.

The Cabinet in the territory is made up of SA leaders who form the closest advisors to the Territorial Commander. We’ve met today in private meetings to consider God’s hope for the territory and to synchronize our efforts to the glory of God. Hallelujah!

These are special people, each of whom represents the Lord with veracity and faithfulness. I’m grateful to God for them.

The General of The Salvation Army has called a select group of leaders together to consider the finances of The Salvation Army. It has been an interesting experience and one that glorifies God. In days of global economic uncertainty, we cannot simply wait for its affect on the movement. We must strategically approach the situation with intelligence, confidence and resolve.

At the end of the day let’s trust God to lead us in the right direction. Hallelujah!

Great day today at the San Bernardino, California Citadel Corps. Under the leadership of God, the Holy Spirit, Majors Nancy and Steven Ball are appointed as corps officers and are exceptional in what they do. The corps itself is focused on being a family, supporting each other with love and sincerity. We felt as is we belonged.

We thank God for Daniel who moved from being an Adherent to becoming a Senior Soldier. Good decision.

They’re looking forward to moving to improved facilities before too long. I believe they’ll fill that place too. Hallelujah!

Mission Councils continued with Officers’ Councils today. Commissioners Francis and Bosh again led the charge with informative and inspirational sessions. The THQ officer corps are all capable people who considered the subject matter with interest and respect. I thank the Lord for each of them.

Councils like these are helpful in the course of ministry. We have the opportunity to share together in fellowship, study, and worship. We have a dynamic team with much to offer. The territory is fortunate that God smiles upon us with the leadership group we have. Hallelujah!
