The day at Camp Homelani has been filled with wonder and with praise. Following good morning devotions, the morning meeting had a great balance of singing, interviews and preaching. Carolyn gave the message. She puts me to shame, except I’m always praying with her and she always makes me proud. When she speaks, people get it and remember what she said. She’s gifted by God and is a blessing.

Tonight finished with a variety program. Most of the corps participated in singing, hula and more. There was even synchronized swimming (you had to be there).

God loves it when we get together to honor Him and just have a good time. I believe He has ordained this experience for each of us here. Hallelujah!

“Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”- Matthew 28:18-20

It was great to see a few new friends from the Western Bible Conference, a few from the office and a few from our past acquaintances. I love this Salvation Army. We were right at home. God is glorified.

When you’re nearby, this is a great place to hear the Word of God, see the Word of God in action, and feel close to God. Stop in.

In the book by the name of the title above, General Bramwell Booth wrote this about Jesus:

“The purpose of His life and death was to manifest God in the flesh, that He might attract man to God. He took human nature that human nature might see the best of which it was capable. He became a man that men (and women) might know to what heights of power a man (and women) might rise. He became a man that men (and women) might know to what lengths and breadths of love and wisdom a man (and women) might attain. He became a man that men (and women) might know to what depths of love and service a man (and women) might reach.”

It’s a great text with a proper reminder of the mission of Jesus. Hallelujah!

Philippians 2:1If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.

God’s creation continues to astound me, no matter where I go. Scenes like this near Portland, Oregon truly speak of the grandeur of God and His provision for our delight.

The same could be said for how He breathes life into people. There’s no limit to the astounding way He will bring love, joy, peace, and each of the wondrous qualities into us simply for loving Him.

Take a look around you. See something special? Now look into the mirror and see His best work. Hallelujah!
