Advisory Board
Often the Advisory Board of TSA is known as “the Army behind the Army.” I suppose there’s real truth in that thought. We value a formidable force backing us up. It is our Advisory Board.
If you know me, though, I want to take it to another level.
I see the potential for them to be members of TSA, which they are. Not simply members of the board, but members of TSA. They give themselves and support TSA most effectively, often becoming the “persona” of TSA in a given community.
The influence of our board members is significant. I say they belong. Hallelujah!
“But, “Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.” For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.”- 2 Corinthians 10:17-18

Salvation Army Advisory Boards in many communities are under utilized and at times ignored . The wisdom and experience of these fine community folk needs to be expressed even more and received with appreciation. These are the men and women that are the Army behind the Army. So many people were assisted over my 25 years of officership because of the work and financial contributions from over 160 members in my various appointments.
Thank God for Advisory Board Members that assisted me so that I could do my duties as a Salvation Army Officer.
