God’s Creation – Multnomah Falls
Plummeting 620 feet from its origins on Larch Mountain, Multnomah Falls is the second highest year-round waterfall in the United States. Nearly two million visitors a year come to see this ancient waterfall.
Fed by underground springs from Larch Mountain, the flow over the falls varies, usually it’s highest during winter and spring.
God’s creation continues to astound me, no matter where I go. Scenes like this near Portland, Oregon truly speak of the grandeur of God and His provision for our delight.
The same could be said for how He breathes life into people. There’s no limit to the astounding way He will bring love, joy, peace, and each of the wondrous qualities into us simply for loving Him.
Take a look around you. See something special? Now look into the mirror and see His best work. Hallelujah!
“But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”- 1 Samuel 16:7

An awesome place.
Have stood on the footbridge in the photo several times when visiting dear friends in Portland. With the water torrent gushing beneath you incessantly, I can’t help feeling both humbled before God by a feeling that in the majesty and grandeur of God’s creation I am just a little speck, but at the same time, an overwhelming sense of appreciation in the knowledge that He created and loves this tiny speck, and lifts me up as His own.
Thanks for re-capturing precious memories of family, friends, beautiful scenery and God’s abundant blessing!

Rosebud is a beautiful place too.
My family and I have stopped and have been blest by God’s wonderful gift such as the Falls many times. God’s gift of never failing love and the power of the Holy Spirit is so real today. May we never live on “religion” or “christianity” but develop our own relationship with Him.
Good insight. Thanks.
I appreciate the marvels and beauty of nature more than most and can sit quietly for hours contemplating the wonder of it all and my place in the cosmos, but Multnomah Falls is a product of geology…the tectonic rising of mountains, the patient carving of water, and the enormous forces of the Missoula Floods on the ancient Columbia River canyon walls. A deity, real or imagined, had nothing to do with the creation of Multnomah Falls.
Interesting…and how did the mountains find their place, or water itself? I believe it all comes from the hand of our Creator and see alternate explanations as indefensible.
