Making Decisions

by Jim Knaggs on July 8, 2010

We each make hundreds of decisions every day. Some people attempt to reduce such activity by deciding to practice habits. Of course, one decides to be habitual.

The best decisions are made with the help of the best information. When the information suffers, so does the decision.

The facts, however are not the only clues toward a good decision. We need to test the decision with God’s leading. What does the Bible say? What do those who are close to God think? What does the Holy Spirit say to your soul about the matter?

The important decisions deserve our best attention. These too deserve the unencumbrance of a clear mind and a clean heart.

“I will bow down toward your holy temple and will praise your name for your love and your faithfulness, for you have exalted above all things your name and your word.”- Psalm 138:2
