St. Kilda Crisis Accommodation Centre

by Jim Knaggs on April 23, 2010

The Salvation Army in Melbourne dedicated and opened the St. Kilda Crisis Accommodation Centre today. It really is the evidence of a miracle, in it’s design, funding and realisation. Congratulations to Majors Rodney and Jenny Barnard and the team for such a successful accomplishment.

Minister Tanya Plibersek and Minister Richard Wynne honoured us by their presence and affirmation. We are most grateful too for their financial support. The Centre is designed to accommodate 169 family units in the course of the year. The average stay is 4 weeks and the longest is 8 weeks.

The project is a satisfying effort in partnerships with government and the private sector. Thank you each for your willingness to support and attendance.

1-3 God is a safe place to hide, ready to help when we need him. Psalms 46 (MSG)
