Living Like God

by Jim Knaggs on February 20, 2010

The worst dictators in history attempted to be gods. They wanted what they wanted and when they wanted. No one stood in their way.

Isn’t it interesting that God’s plan for us is to be Godly? That’s another way of saying God-like or holy. The confusion is in the control. The dictator wants complete control. The person who would follow God knows that the best choice is to give God full control.

God-like, Godly and holy are characteristics best defined by love, mercy, justice and humility. Take a look at Jesus. You’ll begin to understand.

22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,23gentleness and self-control.

Thank you that you are an example of a Godly man, you live that which you speak and love others into relationship with Jesus – that’s what counts.
