As per the Daily Times of Pakistan:

LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court on Wednesday acquitted five individuals accused of killing Col Bo Brekke, 40, a Norwegian, in-charge of Salvation Army in Pakistan, holding that the prosecution has failed to prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt. ATC judge justice Chaudhry Munir Ahmed observed in his acquittal order that no direct evidence had been produced against the accused. The court acquitted Major Younas Joseph, his wife Margrette Joseph, property dealer Ikhlaq Hussain and two “hired assassins” Suhail Masih and Wajahat Masih. In his final arguments, defence counsel Ali Zia Bajwa pointed out that when Col Brekke was murdered in his office in September 2007, the whole Muslim world was up in arms against publication of blasphemous caricature in Norway and some other European countries. He said missionary organisations were also receiving threats and the involvement of such an element in Brekke’s murder could not be ruled out. He said the prosecution had failed miserably to produce any solid evidence against the five accused. Brekke was allegedly shot dead by his colleague over a property dispute on September 27, 2007 in front of his office on Queens Road. staff report

“If anyone says, “I love God,” yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother.”- 1 John 4:20-21

In this I believe the Lord will make sure He is true to His word when he states “Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord! May the Lord come with peace and quiet to dear Colonel Mrs Brekke at this very sad time. A.L.
