The 10 members of the "Pioneers" session (1959/60) who attended their sessional reunion were honoured to welcome our territorial leaders, Commissioners James and Carolyn Knaggs, when they ministered to us during our jubilee reunion. Four honorary "Pioneers" - i.e. spouses married to session members were included in the group. Five other "Pioneers" dispersed throughout Australia sent their greetings and were embraced in prayerful fellowship; 'though sundered far, by faith we meet, around one common mercy seat'. With gratitude to God we salute the training staff who, by word and example, taught us effective lessons about officership. We will continue to look to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith (Heb. 12:2 RSV).
