It’s Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas
It’s a great song and it’s coming true. Christmas is hot. People are wearing summer clothes with many in flip flops. Sun glasses are required as is sun block and we’re all thinking of the beach. This is Christmas in Australia. No less Christmas than other places in the world, this is authentically Christmas.
Some of the snowy songs are totally out of place here and snowmen are depicted in bathers (bathing suits), floral print shirts and sun glasses. Father Christmas too is often seen in this same light.
So what’s real for Christmas?
Jesus. It’s always about Jesus. Christmas is about God’s abundant and unconditional love incarnationally expressed through His son, Jesus. Because of Him, have a Happy Christmas.
