Morning Melodies

by Jim Knaggs on December 17, 2009

As an annual Christmas event, the Melbourne Staff Band is an important pert of the Morning Melodies series at the Arts Centre in Melbourne. Situated in the acoustically enhanced Hamer Hall, the MSB joined effervescent entertainer Frankie J. Holden, his super star wife, Michelle Pettigrove and a choir of talented students from the Victorian College of the Arts to present a delightful 60 minutes of Christmas joy.

All of the music was extraordinary as the artists weaved together their talents to the great pleasure of the full house. Christmas music touches the soul because it speaks of the holy plan of God and reveals the deepest love known to man. Hallelujah!

13Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
14“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests.” Luke 2

Sounds Wonderful! It is amazing how God brings people together at Christmas to praise Him and share His Glory with everyone! The Angels have not stopped singing since that night in Bethlehem! Praise God!
