As I celebrate the resounding response to our hope to win the world for Jesus, I am deeply grateful to God and the Salvationists of the Australia Southern Territory. We are in the process of sorting out the names of the many who came forward at Commissioning and the appointment service for full time ministry. You have come from most parts of the territory and from many walks of life to honour God in service.
I believe this is a blessing to God and that He is leading us in this advance to bring new people into His Kingdom. The planting of new corps and mission centres is proven to be the most effective means by which new people come to the Lord. We must make this an essential part of our discipline as we attempt to serve Him in faithfulness.
We can do this best by standing together in the name of Jesus. Hallelujah!
1 Corinthians 1:21
For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through thefoolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.

I am celebrating too :) I am still buzzing about Sunday.
I think being thankful and standing together are 2 important keys to this all happening. Yes there will be many logistical things to work out – but faith and prayer is needed. It is very exciting. We want to see new people come to know God and while there are many corps that may not be functioning well – new initiatives – i think – are needed. Its complex – so don’t envy your position in some ways Commisioner – but will be praying for you and your team :)
