Saturday of Commissioning
Following a few rehearsals in the morning, the afternoon began with four open airs in different parts of Melbourne. Upon their conclusion, they marched and converged upon Federation Square where 850+ Salvos were waiting to celebrate God in the city. More great music and testimonies strengthened us all while many people visited the five tents displaying evidence of our concern and interest in community, social justice, hope, human dignity and compassion. Sensational!
The evening was filled with praise and honour to God for the life and ministry of General Eva Burrows (Rtd.). Band, Songsters, Dancers, and a three act play by Carol Jaudes who represented Catherine Booth, Evangeline Booth and General Eva Burrows. She received a standing ovation (which is rare in these parts). It was a thrilling night for all. Hallelujah!
Tomorrow we have the commissioning of Cadets and their appointment service. Look for a thrilling visit of the Holy Spirit among us and through us.
Psalm 86:8
There’s no one quite like you among the gods, O Lord, and nothing to compare with your works. All the nations you made are on their way, ready to give honor to you, O Lord, Ready to put your beauty on display, parading your greatness, And the great things you do— God, you’re the one, there’s no one but you!

Commissioner, watched the generals tribute from home in Perth, it was a great night and I felt a part of it. I pray when i am 80 that i am an active servant of God like the General. God is still using her to bless people, and may i say commissioner, she still has it. She has not lost any of her gifted preaching with age.
I had goosebumps during O boundless Salvation and Carol Jaudes was amazing.
thank you for making the tribute available for everyone to see.
