Connections WA Final Day

by Jim Knaggs on November 8, 2009

Hallelujah!

The meetings today were blessed of God. Over 1,000 in attendance with many at the Mercy Seat in both meetings. The Perth Fortress Band was on duty in the morning and a Balga Band including many corps members was on in the afternoon. The Connections chorus was really good and worthy of our interest. There was a drama presentation, worship band, and tremendous testimonies by well saved people.

Thank you Majors Trainor and your team for a well done experience. Everything came together as you had planned and God is glorified.

The day finished with a youth meeting at the Morley Corps. The hall was full and the music was rockin’ and you could see that our DYS Captain Nikki Novell was on duty. Great meeting.

Matthew 28:18-20Jesus, undeterred, went right ahead and gave his charge: “God authorized and commanded me to commission you: Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you. I’ll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age.”

With regards to the youth meeting, you arrive after it started and you leave well before the end. Perhaps you had a plane to catch or some other valid reason, but it didn't look good.

I don't agree with Anon at all.

Anon you should be happy the they came to the Youth Meeting and participated the way they did. I hope Jim got to enjoy the chips.

Just remember Anon that the Commissioners had been at most events over the weekend starting on Friday with Officers Fellowship, Saturday at Kings Park and then 2 meetings on Sunday where they were both actively involved and Commissioner Jim preaching both times, and amazing messages at that (yes Jim I did get a message out of the sermons even doing the Multi media).

It is a shame that you haven't put your name to this comment, I just hope and pray that you were at both the meetings on Sunday and not just at the Youth Meeting on the Sunday night.

Praise the Lord Jim for the messages that were given over the weekend no matter how long you were at the event for.

God Bles

Thanks for the affirming comments, Narelle. We were glad to get to as much as we could. I do understand Anon’s issue. It is something we take into consideration when this kind of pass through happens. Know that I apologised to Phil (the preacher) for leaving early and also know that when we’re in the room, certain participants are under extra pressure. These meetings can be freer when we’re not there throughout. I’ve led them when the muckity mucks have come through. They did me a favour when they didn’t stay. I accept the responsibility for the affect of our departure and am glad that the real focus of the meeting was on Jesus.
