Technology at its finest

by Jim Knaggs on October 26, 2009

So is technology limited to mechanical computations and digital conveyancing? Apparently not. The advantages of technology are teaching us dynamic ways to evaluate mission, consider solutions and communicate effectively. It has reduced the thickness of our bureaucracies and invited us to move to new paradigms of human service delivery systems as well as the improvement of our accountability and stewardship.

At its least, technology is mechanical, impersonal and predictable. At its finest, it is dynamic, socially engaging and unlimited, not to be worshipped, only respected. As a reader of this blog you are already on your way towards this understanding. Embrace it. It has a future.

I believe we can advance the mission of God with the capable support of technological advances. Let us do so without apprehension, but with reasonable application. Hallelujah!

Joel 3:9

Announce this to the godless nations: Prepare for battle! Soldiers at attention! Present arms! Advance! Turn your shovels into swords, turn your hoes into spears. Let the weak one throw out his chest and say, “I’m tough, I’m a fighter.” Hurry up, pagans! Wherever you are, get a move on! Get your act together. Prepare to be shattered by God!
