Prime Minister Speaks

by Jim Knaggs on October 15, 2009

Carolyn and I were impressed by the words of Prime Minister Kevin Rudd tonight at the Brotherhood of Saint Laurence event in Melbourne. He speaks about his commitment to homeless people and many other Australians in need. I really believe he means it and he continues to demonstrate that by the programmes he’s willing to fund.

Hopefully, he’ll see the value of The Salvation Army in the process of reaching out to people with needs. Our relationships with government are strong and important to all concerned. There is no room for politics in human service delivery. We’re only interested in helping people and want to do so in the name of God, no one else.

Daniel 2:20

and said: “Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his.
