Most Trusted Brands in Australia

by Jim Knaggs on October 6, 2009

Neil Shoebridge writes in The Australian Financial Review (5 October 2009), “Ask marketers to name the most trusted brands in Australia and they list names such as Qantas, Uncle Tobys, Holden and Woolworths. They are wrong. The most trusted brand, according to consumers, is The Salvation Army” The article continues with a listing of the top ten and includes a few other categories such as occupations,  food brands, and more. You may want to go to www.afr.com to check it out.

Now you might think that a leader of the Salvos is boasting and you’d be partly right. My real reason for mentioning this is to remind the Salvos of the great trust we maintain, here in Australia. It is an honour and a strong responsibility.

The reason for this outcome goes to the many people through the years who have been serving God in TSA with everyday faithfulness. Empowered and equipped by God, the Salvos have attempted to follow God and work hard in His name. My gratitude goes to God for each of them, past and present. It is an honour to be associated with them.

“God tested us thoroughly to make sure we were qualified to be trusted with this Message.” 1 Thessalonians 2:3 (MSG)
