Salvo Stores

by Jim Knaggs on June 15, 2009

Across the territory you’ll find Salvo Stores. They represent a positive way for people to give their used garments and objects so that others may choose to purchase them at reasonable prices. The income after expenses goes to further support the mission of The Salvation Army.

I’m grateful for every employee and volunteer who help to make this ministry possible. Most of us could find something in the closet to give. Can I suggest that you fix the button or clean the garment first? If the appliance doesn’t work, we cannot use it. Thanks for your understanding and support.

Hebrews 13:16 (MSG)
16 Make sure you don’t take things for granted and go slack in working for the common good; share what you have with others. God takes particular pleasure in acts of worship—a different kind of “sacrifice”—that take place in kitchen and workplace and on the streets.

Our Thrift Shops provide an important service too. Great outreach is done through these in many places and without them many corps would shut. Thanks to all the Thrift Shop volunteers also.
