Thank you each David, Jeff and colleague.

Beijing - As I am honoured by my aforementioned friends, I am also honoured by you. You have much to offer us in the west and we are hoping to learn. Our awareness of China is masked and limited. Be assured of our prayers.

Every morning as the sun rises over Beijing or wherever else in China or Asia my duties take me I open Commissioner Knagg"s site. The often "standing room only" Church in China may well be the "new day" faith in the grace of our Lord Jesus is spreading as quickly as the growth of Buddism which in many temples is also standing room, a case in point being the Temple near Xiamen gateway to Taiwan which though large was pulled down to build a larger structure,I sat there last year at Midnight listening to the chanting of thousands of the Buddist faithful. China does not need Missionaries and certainly is in no need of welfare, China though I suspect is about to give the Western "Apathetic" Christians, new tools new vision new directions, I delight in my Academic Colleagues who are openly witnessing in a child like faith. If we as Salvationist wish a new day then I would with gentle respect point to the Star in the East.
I am very much led to believe that Commissioner Knaggs is a believer and true follower of our Lord Jesus and I find a comfort in that, but wouldn"t it be a chuckle if the Messiah came with Oriental eyes.? I am led to say, do not spend money on a welfare invasion of China, but encourage our Chinese Christian "heart in heart" to come to our weary Western Church"s and give a blood transfusion.
God bless you and your work Commissioner,with no vested interest you and your wife have the respect of a simple aging Braybrook factory boy.

Everyday after my husband has a shower he's says to me - a brand new husband with hands outspread Just like Garfield cartoon in Herald Sun this morning
Great is his faithfulness;
his mercies begin afresh each morning. Lamentations 3:23
