David, I’m sympathetic to your point of view which is shared by many intelligent people across the world. Christianity is ultimately about faith but this doesn’t mean that we have to leave our brains at the church door. Cross and resurrection are deep theological themes that thinking Christians have explored for 2 millenia now to try to understand them better. I encourage you to continue seeking meaning in these things. You might like to try my own blog Boundless Salvation for a non-violent perspective on Good Friday and another way to approach the meaning of resurrection. (Jim, hope you don’t mind me mentioning this) Regards, JDK

“Hail, all hail, victorious LORD and Saviour,
Thou hast burst the bonds of death;
Grant, as to Mary, the great favour
To embrace thy feet in faith:
Thou hast in our stead the curse endured,
And for us eternal life procured;
joyful we with one accord,
Hail thee as our risen LORD.”
Praise be done to the THREE in ONE
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!
